Cheryl Spann

Cheryl Spann formerly served as the Interim Executive Director of The Person Center in 2018. Over the past 26 years, Cheryl Spann served as a facilitator of motivational training programs for youth at risk enrolled in AmeriCorp. She is also an experienced trainer, assisting and leading in the development, management, and completion of the curriculum training packages for numerous programs and initiatives. These include HOPE and Wellness Parties of Montgomery County, MD, the Metro DC collaborative for Women HIV/AIDS, and Ryan White Emergency CARE Act Providers. Cheryl has worked with numerous national, regional and local partners to address emerging issues in Public Health, Community Development and now, Social Work for Social Change on a macro, mezzo, and micro-level. Cheryl has also worked with national committees to address domestic violence, drug, and alcohol addiction, and mental health for survivors of domestic violence. Cheryl completed her second Master’s Degree from Catholic University of America (CUA) in May of 2018. She has served as the Macro Social Change Committee member at Catholic University’s School of Social Work. She now serves as the training coordinator for Howard University’s School of Social Work.
